About Us

Each year millions of people descend upon the sandy beaches of North Carolina’s Outer Banks in search of sun and fun. These revelers arrive from all parts of the country, and a look at their t-shirts, hats, and bumper stickers will tell you that they also represent a very diverse gathering of fans. It was within this unique setting that TAILGATERS opened its doors in the northern Outer Banks town of Corolla.

From our beginnings as a team shop with a distinctive beach flavor, TAILGATERS has evolved into a store that offers a full array of licensed college and pro merchandise. TAILGATERS carries the widest selection of licensed team merchandise and apparel in the region. We are not a “hometown” team shop. From day one we have strived to carry the broadest possible selection of team gear, and the enthusiastic reactions of our customers when they walk into the store confirm that we have been successful.

If you’re not able to visit our store at the beach, then please take a minute to browse our online store. It is loaded with the same unique licensed team merchandise that is found in our store on the Outer Banks.
